Since 1960, Nansemond-Suffolk Volunteer Rescue Squad has provided emergency medical services to the citizens of Suffolk, Virginia.  Licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services and part of the Tidewater Emergency Medical Services Council, the squad provides basic and advanced life support to any person in need without compensation.
